I'm in the process of doing the '55 Revell Chevy and, of course, the underside of the hood has the Grand Canyon scribing just in case you wanted to put a hood scoop on.
I've done some filling with styrene strip, but there are some braces etc. that require extreme care so as not to sand them off. Just for giggles, I masked off one of the braces, then applied some Testor's putty; after a few minutes, I used an Xacto knife the trim along the edge of the tape, then removed the tape.
It's a nice clean line and sanding is much easier (less material to mess with).
Does anybody else do this?
