Dear fellow modelers, I was so pumped to get back into the project I left partially completed 6 months ago, a 1967 Plymouth GTX Hemi. My enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment when I discovered that one of the hoodscoops was missing. Shame on me, I know. I spent all day Sunday turning the house upside down trying to find it but alas, it is gone. I'm unable to complete the build without it! One of the trademark features of the Belvedere GTX is the small twin hood scoops. I have the 2'n'1 Revell kit that has options for the factory stock version (which I'm building) or a street custom variation that has a different hood and large single scoop.
I'm sending out a plea for help. I'm hoping someone here in the forums may have 1 or even a pair of these in their spare parts box that they would be willing to part with. I'm sure there are folks out there who have built the street rod custom version and are still hanging on to the twin scoops so I'm hopeful someone will come through. If this is you, please give me a shout. It would definitely make my month! :-)
I'm open to other worthwhile suggestions for a possible solution as well. (What about resin ? Are there shops that will build parts upon request ?)
